Barbara joined the RMI team in 2014 as External Relations Manager. She has a background in commercial insurance as a broker with J&H Marsh & McLennan of Washington and as an independent agent/broker. She worked as Senior Career Acceleration Specialist at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, and as Assistant Director at Utah State University Career Services. Barbara has a Master in Science in Human Resource Management from Utah State University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Whitman College. She has taught graduate and undergraduate business classes, had led student groups to London and Germany, and has taught at Yunnan University in Kunming China and in Japan.
Matthew Ward is a Sales and Client Services supervisor at Amica Mutual Insurance Company, a personal lines company known for their reputation in quality service and utmost customer care. Shortly after graduating in 2009 from the College of Charleston, where he studied Psychology, Matthew began his career with Amica. Matthew was part of Amica’s Future Leadership program in Lincoln, RI and was relocated to their central Massachusetts office in Westborough, MA. After spending two years in Massachusetts, Matthew was relocated to Amica’s Denver regional office. Matthew has served on the Colorado Chapter’s Insurance Day committee in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016.
Mindy began her insurance career in 1985, after moving to Colorado from Iowa. Her career has spanned two decades and has included sales, underwriting and supervisory duties. Mindy joined Acuity in 2013 as Territory Director for Colorado. She is involved in various industry related associations, including her local CPCU Chapter. She also holds the CIC designation. Outside of work, Mindy is an avid Broncos fan and spends her free time attending Bronco games, leading ZUMBA® classes, playing her guitar, and enjoying time with her friends.

Donna graduated from University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor in Business & Organizational Administration, Summa Cum Laude in 2007. She also graduated from Cardinal Stritch University with an Associate in Business Administration in 2002. In additional to her CPCU, she also holds ARM, AU and AINS designations. She has been in the insurance industry since 1985. She has been with SECURA Insurance as a Commercial Lines Underwriter for 19 years. Prior to SECURA, she worked for Sentry Insurance and Hartford Insurance, and also in Independent Agency with Flood & Peterson and Brown & Brown. Donna loves to travel and enjoys the outdoors with her family and her 2 goldens.

Sue graduated from the University of Colorado/Boulder with a business degree in organizational management and human resources. She has worked for Nationwide Insurance for over 25 years and has held the positions of Personal Lines Specialist, Underwriter and Agency Trainer, Manager and currently is the Commercial Training Consultant for the Southwest Regional office. In addition to her CPCU she holds the Personal and Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designations. She has also held the board position of Director of Operations and is a national committee member on the Underwriting Interest Group. Sue is also a CPCU board member for RMIIA.

Ramya Sunad has been in the insurance industry since 2005. Currently, she is a Sr. Policy & Performance Underwriter with USAA. She has worked in all three domains of the industry, having served as a carrier, managing general agent and broker. Sunad served as president of the North Alabama CPCU Society Chapter in 2016 and is currently the Chair of the Agent & Broker Interest Group. Ramya holds a Bachelors in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Master’s of Science in Insurance Management from Boston University.

Mark is a 1989 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He began his career in insurance with Aetna Life & Casualty and is currently employed with OneBeacon as a Claim Manager specializing in Workers’ Compensation Claims. Mark succeeds in the areas of field and desk adjusting, claim supervision, large account management, and commercial lines sales. He enjoys public speaking and joined a Toastmasters Club in 2008. He provides training and presentations on multiple topics. Mark resides in the Parker area with his wife and two children. He enjoys swimming, fishing, hunting and skiing.

Jill has been a CPCU Society member since 2007 and is a graduate of University of Denver (M.A.) and Lewis & Clark College (B.A.). In her current position at Colorado Farm Bureau Insurance, she programs business software applications for agents, claims adjusters, customer service, and underwriting departments. Jill has volunteered in several Colorado CPCU Society Chapter Board positions since 2011 and volunteered at the CPCU Society 2009 Annual Meeting held in Denver. In her free time, Jill enjoys the outdoors – hiking, cycling, and skiing.

Liza has been in commercial insurance brokerage since 2013, focued on large construction accounts. She also has prior experience as a commercial retail agent in Las Vegas, and in commercial underwriting and large account servicing. Liza was one of three 2016 All Risks President’s Club qualifiers for the Denver office. When not tied to her professional responsibilities, Liza likes to hike, especially Oahu, Hawaii and Colorado.

With a prior background in credit card processing, airline reservations, and auditing for a telemarketing firm, Jan came to Colorado in 1988 and started working for Continental Insurance where she became an associate underwriter. She has worked as a commercial account manager at Keller-Lowry Insurance, a commercial underwriter at Colorado Casualty, and also was a commercial underwriter and office manager at Nations Builders Insurance Services. She is now retired and enjoys traveling, movies, watching sports and keeping busy with friends and family.

Gary is the Training and Development Manager for Colorado Farm Bureau Insurance. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa and has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry with emphasis in loss control and risk management. At CFBI, he is responsible for training agents on insurance products, underwriting procedures and risk selection and evaluation, agent professional development, and safety and risk management initiatives. Previously Gary was VP, Risk Management Services at Farmers Union Insurance. He is very active with the National Safety Council, and has served in many volunteer capacities there and received the Council's Distinguished Service to Safety Award.
